Audiobooks I've Listened To - The Final Empire

Audiobooks I've listened to!

As an audiobook narrator, it's very important to also listen to audiobooks. The more I listen, the more I hear good techniques for narrating. In some cases, I can even ste- err, borrow character voices if the narrator has a voice similar to mine.

So in the end, I've listened to quite a few audiobooks. I thought perhaps that some of you out there might be interested in what I've listened to!

Note that as someone who particularly enjoys fantasy and science fiction, quite a bit of what I've listened to falls into that genre, including my very first audiobook that I downloaded from

The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

I hadn't heard of Brandon Sanderson before downloading this. I chose this book as one that had high ratings and was really long. I was definitely trying to get as much as I could for my credit back then!

If you're a fan of fantasy books, you definitely should read The Final Empire. The whole series is really entertaining. If you haven't ready any Brandon Sanderson yet, this is a great place to start. His creativity (and productivity!) is simply astounding.

The narrator for the Mistborn books (and many of Sanderson's other books) is the great Michael Kramer. The guy is an amazing narrator, and his deep voice definitely makes books like The Final Empire feel even more epic.

So The Final Empire, and the Mistborn series as a whole, get a high recommendation from me! Have you listened to it yet? What did you think? What audiobook have you listened to recently?
